How our end-to-end construction waste and recycling solution works.

Our construction waste solution goes beyond the collection and recycling of construction waste. Rowles Site Solutions works closely with builders to improve safety on their construction sites by removing waste and potential hazards at each stage of the construction process.

From concrete and bricks to gyprock and plasterboard, all building waste is collected and recycled at each major stage, providing builders and trades with a clean slate to begin the next stage of construction.

Getting started.

To help us get your project set up smoothly, we’ll need a few things from you before we deliver your first waste bag:

  • A copy of your site plans.
  • The purchase order(s) for the job, matching the values in your pricing schedule.

 

Having this information will enable us to set up your project with all necessary details, including allowances for waste and brick bags.

Remember, we need at least three days’ notice to schedule any job.  If you need something done urgently, we can help, but a Call Out fee may apply.

Slab.

Book in your first site clean when external drainage is complete and before frame delivery.

What you can expect from us:
  • We'll complete an initial backblade of the site (if needed), removing any waste concrete, steel reinforcement, and mesh.
  • Our operator will level off the front of the site and set up a new waste bag if required.
Framing.

Please let our office know the expected date when the framers will be finished, as well as the expected date for brick delivery. This helps us schedule masonry and brick bag setup.

Let our team know where you’d like us to place the masonry and brick bags for the bricklayers, and how many bags you’ll need, based on site access.      

What you can expect from us:
  • We'll come to the site to remove steel and timber waste. We’ll use Hebel bags for all Hebel removal.
  • We'll set up one or more 1m³ masonry/brick bags for the bricklayer depending on your request.
  • RSS masonry bags will also be provided for tiled roof builds. The same call-up process applies, and roof tile bags will be placed as close to the scaffold as possible for easy loading from above.
Brick & Cladding.

When the masonry bags are full, get in touch with us for removal. If space allows, we can also change over bags during the bricklaying and roofing process to ensure the trades have enough room to work.

What you can expect from us:
  • We will clean the site once the scaffold is removed.
  • We will provide a bobcat, machine operator and labourer.
  • Our site cleaners will fill the 1m³ masonry bags with any mortar, concrete tile, and broken bricks, and we'll remove them with a Hiab truck. If more masonry bags are needed for extra masonry waste, we'll request a purchase order (PO).
  • This stage is a full reset for the site, setting the standard for your internal trades.
  • Once the scaffold is down, the next waste bag will be placed closer to the front entry to encourage the trades to use it (depending on Hiab access).
Gyprock/Lock Up.

If your Gyprockers aren’t removing their own waste, we can supply a Gyprock waste bag for an additional charge.  

What you can expect from us:
  • We'll set up the Gyprock bag at the supervisor's request.
  • If possible, the Gyprock waste bag will be placed in front of the garage for easy access, encouraging the Gyprockers to use it.
  • If requested, we can also set up a "cardboard only" bag in the garage for flat-packed cardboard.
Final Clean.

The Final Clean is scheduled when the house is ready to be handed over to the landscaper, or when the keys are handed to the owner.

What you can expect from us:
  • We'll perform a quick "Emu pick" around the site.
  • Once we have full access, we'll tidy up the front yard with a bobcat and operator.
  • We can arrange to set up an additional waste bag on request, and we’ll confirm where it should be placed.
  • If needed, waste bags can be placed on the driveway for the last of the internal trades.
